radioSHARK has been released
Griffin Technologies (maker of the Powermate - see posts here) have released their radioShark (USB Radio Tuner). I had been looking at this a while back and thought that is was only going to be released for the Mac (or at least the drivers).
I really want one of these, but I am going to wait for the reviews to come in before I even consider getting it.

Bandwagons for everybody!
I went to Schuler Books last night and picked up a couple books that I thought could do me some good. First Off, "Getting Things Done" by David Allen. There is a rise in personal productivity products and this book (which has been out for a while) is being adopted by software developers, bloggers et al in a big way. 43 Folders has some great info regarding the new GTD movement. Second, I needed a refresher on PHP, so I picked up O'Reilly's "PHP Pocket Reference". Finally, I grabbed a copy of the new Cult hit "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrel"

Life Update
Yesterday, I upgraded the CMS that powers this site to the newest version. You may notice some changes in the comments/trackback section, but other than that it should look the same.

This past weekend I spent some time with my Dad (Saturday was his 59th birthday [Happy Birtday Dad!]), and my Brother (and his family). We went to the State Auction looking for some scaffolding but that fell through. Played some "Horse" with Dad and Jim, and it was a lot of fun.
Sunday, I came in 2nd in the first Fall Heroclix League Tournament. The judge came in first, but since he can't accept LEs from tournaments, the trickle-down rule was in effect so yay to me. Andy got Fellowship, so we did pretty well.
Work is hectic, but that is to be expected. I think it is only going to get more hectic approaching the end of the fiscal year.
I heard from my Dad, that my folks will both be home for a while after this next trip up to the Soo, and that will be nice. It is kinda lonely in the house when they are gone.

$3.22
I have been thinking a lot about game programming the last few days. Specifically ideas that I had spoken with my brother about, and also games like GNE, Kingdom of Loathing, or Land of Devastation. I won't get into a lot of detail, but it is something that is really in the back of my mind all the time.
In other news, my Dad is back in town for a while, but he will be heading out before too long unless I miss my guess.
The Summer Heroclix league is over, and I earned a respectable 5th place (considering I had to rebuild my team halfway through). The Fall league signup is on Saturday at the Fortress at 12:45. Last night was a lot of fun at the Battle Royale / Demo Night. Ultimates abound, I pulled an Ultimate Magneto, and I was able to pass my teammate some nice figs. Earned a spare booster for my troubles, and pulled KC Supes.
I am really looking forward to this weekend, because it looks like I get to spend some time with my girl. I miss her so much, and I want to take care of her.
