Scorpio: Phrase for the day: "Let It Ride"
c/o Foxtrot
In other news, my brain turned off some time the morning and I can't get it to turn back on. I am at "Wit's End" it would seem.
D'oh!

Weekend in St. Johns. I attended a babyshower - never my idea of fun. It went pretty well. Renee got some pretty good swag for not knowing anyone in the area.
I did get some pretty good sleep and some good food, thanks to Scott.

Dilemmetry
A word I have come up with to describe my current situation. I am in a dilemma due to my current geographic location. I would like nothing more than to keep my current job with MPHI, but I can't very well due that while living in Traverse City (with my girl). Unless something changes with the telecommuting allowance. I really want to talk to my boss about it, but I am very concerned that I will be shot down. VPNs + VoIP + Driving Down when meeting require it. I think it is doable, and I think other people have moved farther.

Mozilla Migration
Step 1 - Mozilla from Microsoft
* Firefox (check) [replaced Internet Explorer]
* Thunderbird (check) [replaced Outlook Express]
* Sunbird (check) [replaced Calendar functionality of Outlook]
Step 2 - Portability - Jacob Haller's Portable Mozilla Apps
** Run Apps from a USB/Flash Drive
* Portable Firefox
* Portable Thunderbird
* Portable Sunbird
Step 3 (optional) - Scalability
* Convince Apple to upload that data (Address Book, Calendar from ThunderBird & Sunbird) to the iPod
-or-
* Write an app that translates and copies the files into a format that iTunes will handle.

Putting in my 2 cents regarding an article linked on the following website:
Saying that women don't know about technology is unfair. It is macho bullshit and it is unnecessary. I thought we becoming a more tolerant society, and if we are gonna make it anywhere we need to get passed all of this.
There are geek girls, and nerd girls, and thinking anyone can't do something because of race, gender or whatever is just plain stupid.

Those Women, They Just Don't Get Tech
Excellent Rebuttal

Beth and I went to the movies today. We saw Kontroll. It was actually pretty good, despite the film-school-esque symbolism. I really enjoyed the music.

60 years ago today, my father was born in Bar Harbor, Maine.
I am very thankful that he is around, and of who the man he is. He is the type of man I aspire to become.
I love you Dad. Happy Birthday!

She's my girl!
It's one thing to kind of know your girlfriend is cooler then you are... -kellanI know the feeling.
"In love" is a great term, luckiness and destiny aside, meeting Barb is still the best thing to happen as far back as I can remember.
Good luck today sweetie! I know you can do it.
